Steel Structure Designer

Tasks:

• Review building concept and propose optimum technical solution based on global costs
• Perform detailing of orders including all details respecting technical requirements with focus on global cost
• Respect of the customer specific drafting details, technical specifications as well as the internal customer Construction Practice Manual guidelines and rules
• Respect of the external as well as the internal Customer technical manual guidelines and rules
• Respect SDI and challenge when appropriate
• Perform project clarification with Engineering A members (and other suppliers) through to release to production and final Erection Drawings
• Ensue meeting customer quality and Lead time requirements as well as internal quality requirements · Cooperation with Designer and Draftsman on optimum technical solution
• Issue shop drawings and BOM in due quality and time
• Release BOM and SD to Production on the base of BOM-split
• Issue Erection Drawing in due quality and time
• Ensure Material Forecast update
• Check fellow Detailer without undue delay if so requested by planning
• Notify Engineering B Team Leader for missing information, non-conformities and risks in the project · Ensure that all company policies and rules are complied with

Profile :

• Technical or Bachelor’s degree in construction, technical design…
• You have a first experience in the design of buildings, ideally in the design of steel-framed structures;
• You have a good mastery of a design software, ideally Tekla;
• You are fluent in English + ideally French and/or German;
• Social skills : Responsibility, Reliability, Team work, Positive communication;
• Professional skills: Technical knowledge, Conception skills, Internal procedure knowledge, Drive for actions and results, Creativity / Innovation / Problem solving;
• Quality- and precision-minded, Cost-minded.
